Corporate Branded Documents

Itinerary

We often get requests to create agenda or itinerary documents for multi-day meetings that our brokers facilitate between our clients and other insurance providers. These might be simple tri-fold DL pamphlets, or longer multi-page booklets that include schedules, insurer information and/or underwriter biographies. In each case, the challenge is to clearly communicate information in a format that is easy to understand. Majority of the time, itineraries or agendas for meetings are professionally printed with a third-party vendor.

Request for proposal response document

The main type of project that I work on at Lockton are tender documents. These documents are generally text heavy with lots of charts and tables. My task is to help organise the content the bid writers had put together in legible spreads, that helped communicate all the information in a way that is not overwhelming. My approach is to review the content sent and discuss the structure and aesthetic the tender requires with the bid writer. I will then start off by modifying a branded template to align with the tone of the document, setting paragraph and character styles and colour swatches. I then go through the document adding content in, formatting as needed and creating diagrams, charts, and tables to follow our company branding.

Once the content is in the Indesign file, I will work with the bid writer to review and finesse the document until we are both satisfied. It will then either be issued as an interactive PDF for screen viewing or professionally printed through a third-party vendor.

Turn over for these documents is usually quite tight, so a 50 page document may need to be finished within a day or two.

Brochures

Occasionally, I will need to design a very condensed introductory document for potential clients. These documents are generally very quick tasks using a branded Indesign template without too many modifications as the turn over is generally less than two days.
